10g packet is enough for a couple of strand tests or a strand test and a patch test.
The likely colour outcome on different hair colours
The resulting colour outcome after using this hair colour does depend on the colour of your hair before using it.
If your hair is very light coloured grey or white it may of an auburn colour.
If you’re your hair is dark blonde to light brown it will be less auburn and more of a warm brown.
On medium brown hair the colour will less noticeable as on lighter hair colours (but if you have grey strands it should colour them with a highlight effect).
If your hair is a salt-and-pepper mix of light to medium brown and white, then you will get an average effect, with the white hair going more like auburn highlights and your brown hair being a richer brown.
If your hair is dark brown then this colour will probably not show up.
The effect of the colour if you leave it on for longer:
On light coloured hair if you leave it on for a shorter time it will be more of auburn and if you leave it for a longer time it will tend to be less auburn and more brown.
If you want a deeper colour you can also build up the colour with a second application.
Although we do our best to formulate this hair colourant so that you get a good colour, we cannot guarantee the precise colour outcome. This is because everyone’s hair is different, both in terms of the initial hair colour and different hair chemistry, and will take the colour slightly differently.
The true colour takes a few hours to develop
When you first wash out the colour it will often not be the full depth of colour but it will gradually darken to its true colour
If you have used henna and indigo before you will understand that after washing it off your hair it takes time for the colour to oxidise on your hair. It can be likened to a cut apple - at first it the apple is white and then as it oxidises in the air it goes brown.
Instructions
The full instructions and tips are enclosed in the packet the following is an overview:
Mix the powder with warm water to a smooth paste that is the consistency of yogurt. Mix very well so that there are no lumps in the paste. Paste on to your hair in sections and leave on for 1.5 to 3 hours. The longer you leave it the darker the colour will be.
If it is the first time you have used this hair colour we strongly recommend doing a strand test first before putting the dye all over your hair, because the colour can be different on different people’s hair. We also recommend waiting 24 hours after the strand test to see how the colour develops, because the colour oxidises over time and darkens.
