Logona LavaErde Range is based on a special clay, Ghassoul or Rhassoul, which is mined in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. It has been used for centuries as a traditional hair and skin cleanser.
When combined with water the tiny particles of clay combine to form a pleasant gel texture. This gel has an enormous absorption capacity which readily binds with particles and excessive oils - similar to how an ink blotter works.
Due its non-soapy, extremely mild cleansing action it wont irritate or disturb your skins acid mantle or sebaceous glands, allowing your skin and hair to retain some of it's natural oils. It is therefore it is very suitable for sensitive skin, and people with allergies to soap cleansers.
Directions As a Hair Cleanser: Mix 1-2 level tablespoons (for shoulder length hair) of LavaErde with one-half cup of warm water. Allow to stand briefly until the mixture develops a creamy gel-like consistency. If you have dry hair, we recommend adding a couple of drops of quality vegetable oil. Massage the mixture thoroughly into your damp hair. Allow to remain in your hair briefly before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. A second washing is not necessary. Condition and dry your hair as you normally do.
As a Skin Cleanser: As a skin cleanser it is recommended not only for sensitive and dry skin, but also for oily and blemished skin. Use as a facial cleanser or as an overall body cleanser. Simply massage the mixture into your moistened skin, and rinse. By the way young children especially enjoy bathing with LavaErde.
